Andhra Pradesh Government conducts Teacher Eligibility Test every year to recruit or to make candidates eligible for the teaching jobs in the State. AP TET Stands for Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by Andhra Pradesh Education Department to select candidates for the post of teachers in the state government schools. This exam is mere an eligibility test. If you have qualified APTET, it doesn't mean you have been selected for the job. AP TET is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in all 13 Districts of the State through a Computer Based Test.

APTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate at the time of applying for APTET-December, 2017 should be having the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category I to V classes (Paper – I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper-II) as given below. for candidates already in possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuing a final year of respective Teacher Education Course during 2016-2017 or earlier: Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However, in the case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education). ALSO SEE: APTET Paper 1 Syllabus & Exam Pattern: Andhra Pradesh [Class 1st to 5th]OR
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to the issue of these guidelines. Note: NCTE guidelines were issued in the Month of August 2010. Therefore, the candidates who acquired qualifications prior to August 2010 are eligible with above-said qualifications/Percentage of marks.Minimum Qualifications for Classes VI-VIII

4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.OR
Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers. Note:- 1. The candidates, who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (OR) Diploma in Elementary Education etc., are also eligible to appear for TET exam subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for DSC with this TET certificate unless the candidates acquire requisite qualification. 2. A Diploma/ Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered. 3. Intermediate qualification of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent as recognized by BIE, Andhra Pradesh State only shall be considered. APTET 2019 Cut off and Qualifying marks
The criteria for considering pass in APTET is as follows. 20% Weightage marks for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) of the State Government for Physical Education candidates will be considered on the basis of Written Marks + Incentive Marks. 20% of Weightage marks will be arrived by limiting total marks to 150 only. Till what period of time your APTET scorecard will be valid?
APTET Certificate / Marks Memo shall be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of TET examination in accordance with NCTE Guidelines.Weightage for APTET Scores in selection in DSC Recruitments?
20% Weightage will be given to APTET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment of the State Government. In other words, 20% Weightage is for APTET score and 80% Weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up the selection list.APTET 2019 Important Links
