M.A. Applied Psychology Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for the Master of Arts in Applied Psychology must fulfill the essential qualification required by the University of Delhi.

Entrance Based

The essential qualification for the Entrance Based Admission in MA Applied Psychology.

The number of seats available in Delhi University for Master of Arts Applied Psychology is 31. Out of these 31 seats, 16 seats are entrance based and 15 seats are Merit-based admission seats.

Application Fee

Candidates applying for the postgraduate course at the University of Delhi have to pay the registration fee. This DU Entrance Application Fee will be non-refundable.

Application fee amount is different for the different category students. So candidates have to pay the Delhi University application fee according to their category.

  1. The registration fee for SC/ST/PwD: Rs. 250/- for each course
  2. The registration fee for all other categories such as General / OBC: Rs. 500/- for each course

Selection Process

The selection of the candidates for admission to the Applied Psychology course is made on the basis of their performance in an Admission Test conducted by the Department. The Written Test consists of objective type questions covering basic knowledge in the subject of Psychology at the undergraduate level. Based on the performance in the Written test, eligible candidates will be called for group discussion and interview.

Selection Process:

  1. Written Test: 85%
  2. Interview: 15%

Admission can also be taken on merit-based as well.

M.A. Applied Psychology Exam Pattern

The multiple choice questions would be drawn from the following areas :

  1. General Psychology
  2. Social Psychology
  3. Research Methods & Statistics in Psychology
  4. Clinical Psychology
  5. Industrial Psychology/Organisational Behaviour

The total number of questions in the written test would be 100. Each question will be of 4 marks. There will be a negative marking for the incorrect response. 1 mark for every incorrect answer will be deducted.
