Assam Combined Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) is the state-level engineering entrance examination administered by Assam Science and Technology University for admission to applicable B.Tech programmes in the State Engineering Colleges of Assam. The latest official examination structure consists of one paper containing Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The examination contains 120 multiple-choice questions and is conducted for three hours. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry contain 40 questions each. Under the latest officially published marking scheme, four marks are awarded for each correct response and one mark is deducted for each incorrect response. Assam CEE should not be confused with ASTU JLEE, which is a separate lateral-entry examination, or JMEE, which is conducted separately for MCA admission.
