About HTET 2026

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is a state-level eligibility test conducted by the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH), Bhiwani, to assess the teaching aptitude of candidates seeking Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) positions in schools recognised by the Haryana Department of School Education. HTET is conducted twice a year in offline (OMR-based) mode and is a mandatory qualifying benchmark, not a recruitment exam in itself — the HTET certificate carries lifetime validity once earned. For the 2026 cycle, applications were invited from 24 December 2025 to 5 January 2026; the exam itself was postponed more than once before finally being held on 4 and 5 July 2026, with results declared on 5 August 2026.
