About MICAT 2027

MICAT is the entrance examination conducted by MICA, Ahmedabad for admission to programmes offered by the School of Management and School of Applied Creativity. For PGDM-C and PGDM, candidates must also submit a valid CAT, XAT or GMAT score. MICAT assesses psychometric ability, descriptive writing, creativity, analytical ability, verbal ability, quantitative ability, data interpretation and general awareness depending on the programme.

PGDM-C Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Communications. MICA's flagship management programme focused on strategic marketing, communication and related business areas.
PGDM Post Graduate Diploma in Management with a focus on strategic management and business areas including business analytics, consulting, data science and AI.
FPM Fellow Programme in Management, a PhD-equivalent research programme in strategic marketing and communication and related areas.
PGCM-AMC Post Graduate Certificate in Management in Advertising and Marketing Communication, earlier known as CCC.

Educational Qualification Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in the 10+2+3 system from a recognized institution.
Minimum Marks Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in graduation.
Discipline Graduation may be in any discipline from a recognized university/institution.
CAT / XAT / GMAT Candidates applying to PGDM-C and PGDM must have taken at least one of CAT, XAT or GMAT.
Final-Year Students Candidates appearing for their final-year graduation examination may apply subject to completing the degree requirements within the deadline specified by MICA.
Final-Year Certificate Final-year candidates must provide the required certificate from the institution confirming completion of degree requirements where applicable.
FPM Qualification Candidates should possess the prescribed postgraduate qualification or equivalent eligibility specified by MICA for the Fellow Programme in Management.
Bachelor Degree A Bachelor degree after the 10+2 system is required as specified in the official FPM eligibility criteria.
Research Interest Research interest and exposure to areas such as marketing, media, public relations, advertising or journalism provide relevant preparation for the FPM.
Research Proposal Applicants submit a research proposal and statement of purpose as part of the application.
Academic Recommendations Applicants are required to provide academic recommendations as specified by MICA.
Stage 1 The Psychometric Test is evaluated first and is qualifying in nature.
Stage 2 Candidates who qualify the psychometric stage are evaluated on their CAT, XAT or GMAT performance.
Stage 3 Candidates meeting the applicable entrance score requirements are evaluated on MICAT Sections C and B.
Stage 4 Candidates shortlisted after the written stages participate in Group Exercise and Personal Interview.

Single Programme Fee For the current MICA admission structure, the admission processing fee including MICAT is Rs. 2,500 when applying for one programme.
Additional Programme Fee For additional programmes from the same school, an additional Rs. 500 is charged per programme under the current structure.
