A completes a work in 20 days. B complete the same work in 30 days. A starts working alone and after 5 days B joins him. How many days will they now take together to complete the remaining work.

Work done in 5 days by A = 5 × 3 = 15Remaining work = 60 - 15 = 45Required days to finish the remaining work done by both of them = $\frac{45}{5}=9$ days.
