The Central Industrial Security Force has invited online applications from eligible male and female Indian citizens for recruitment of Para Medical Staff in CISF 2026. A total of 24 tentative vacancies have been notified comprising 18 posts of ASI Pharmacist, 1 post of ASI X-Ray Technician and 5 posts of ASI Lab Technician. The posts are in Pay Level 5 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix with a pay range of Rs 29200 to Rs 92300 plus admissible allowances. The recruitment is conducted on an all India basis. The selection process consists of Written Examination, Physical Standard Test, Documentation, Basic Vocational Aptitude Test and Medical Examination. The online application window is from 08 June 2026 to 07 July 2026.

| Relaxed Physical Standard | Relaxed standards apply to eligible Garhwalis Kumaonis Gorkhas Dogras Marathas Sikkimies and candidates from specified North Eastern and Himalayan states and Jammu and Kashmir subject to production of prescribed certificates. |
| Scheduled Tribe Physical Standard | ST male candidates require height of 162.5 cm and chest of 77 to 82 cm. ST female candidates require height of 154 cm. |
| Medical Examination | Shortlisted candidates are medically examined by Medical Boards to assess physical and medical fitness under the applicable CAPF recruitment medical guidelines. |
| Physical Fitness Conditions | Candidates must not have knock knees flat foot varicose veins or squint in the eyes and must be in good mental and bodily health and free from physical defects likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. |

| Fee Exemption | Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC ST and eligible Ex Servicemen categories are exempted from payment of application fee. |

| Written Examination Pattern | The written examination is objective type and carries 100 marks with a duration of two hours. Questions test knowledge in the respective trade. |
| Negative Marking | There is no negative marking in the written examination. |
| Examination Language | The written examination is conducted in Hindi and English languages. |
| Shortlisting for Physical Stage | Candidates qualifying in the written examination are shortlisted for PST documentation BVAT and medical examination. The number shortlisted for this stage will be about five times the number of vacancies notified. |
| Final Merit | After completion of the written examination PST documentation BVAT and medical examination, category wise merit lists are prepared based on aggregate marks obtained in the written examination and the number of vacancies. |
| Ex Servicemen Reservation | Ten percent of vacancies are reserved for Ex Servicemen. If suitable Ex Servicemen candidates are not available, such vacancies may be filled by direct category candidates. |
| Ex Servicemen Qualification | Eligible Ex Servicemen who were Naib Subedar in Army or equivalent rank in Air Force or Navy and held the trade of Pharmacist X Ray Technician or Lab Technician may apply subject to the prescribed conditions. |
| One Post Only | Candidates may apply for one post only. If multiple applications are received from a candidate, only the first application received will be processed. |
| PwD Eligibility | Persons with Disabilities are not eligible to apply for this recruitment. |
| Training and Probation | Selected candidates are required to undergo basic training in CISF Recruitment Training Centres. Candidates remain on probation for two years which may be extended according to applicable rules. |

Upper age relaxation is applicable as per Government rules. SC ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation and OBC candidates receive 3 years relaxation. Separate provisions apply to eligible departmental candidates and Ex Servicemen.

Objective type written examination conducted through OMR or Computer Based Test mode. The examination carries 100 marks and has a duration of two hours.
Candidates shortlisted from the written examination are screened for prescribed height chest and weight standards.
Original educational qualification certificates date of birth proof category certificates and other required testimonials are scrutinized.
Candidates who qualify PST and documentation undergo the Basic Vocational Aptitude Test to assess suitability for the job. The BVAT is qualifying in nature.
Candidates who qualify PST documentation and BVAT are required to undergo Detailed Medical Examination and Review Medical Examination wherever applicable.
