In a test consisting of 150 questions, a candidate correctly answers 60% of the first 90 questions. What percentage of the remaining questions does he need to answer correctly so that he has 64% of all the questions answered correctly in the test?

  • A68%
  • B72%
  • C70%
  • D66%
Correct answer: C

Explanation

First 90 questions correct = 54. Required total correct = 64% of 150 = 96. So 96 − 54 = 42 of the remaining 60 must be correct, i.e. 42/60 × 100 = 70%.
