Bank of India invites online applications for recruitment of Officers in various Specialist Officer streams upto Scale IV under Project No. 2026-27/02, Notice dated 01.08.2026. The recruitment contains 205 vacancies across Scale I to Scale IV covering technology, digital banking, information security, data, engineering, law, fire and security streams. Applications commence on 10.09.2026 and close on 25.09.2026. Age and qualification are reckoned as on 01.08.2026. The tentative online examination date will be advised separately. Selection may be through scrutiny of eligibility documents followed by an online examination and/or personal interview depending on the number of applicants/eligible candidates. Where both online examination and interview are conducted, the weightage is 60:40. The Bank reserves the right to conduct selection through interview alone.

Selection will be through online test and/or personal interview depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates. Applications are first scrutinized on the basis of documents uploaded at registration. If an online examination is conducted, candidates qualifying the online tests and ranking sufficiently high are called for personal interview. The Bank may also conduct selection through interview alone without holding an online examination.
The online examination consists of English Language and Professional Knowledge relevant to the post. English is qualifying only and its marks are not added to the merit list. Professional Knowledge carries 100 marks. The composite examination duration is 100 minutes.
Candidates who secure minimum qualifying marks in the online tests and rank sufficiently high are called for personal interview. Interview carries 100 marks. General/EWS candidates require 50% and SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates applying against reserved vacancies require 45%. Candidates are generally called at a ratio of 1:3 to vacancies, subject to Bank discretion.
When both online examination and interview are conducted, final merit is prepared using 60% weightage for the Online Examination and 40% for Personal Interview. Professional Knowledge marks are used for the online examination merit. If the online examination is not conducted, final selection is based on Personal Interview marks alone.
