Bihar School Examination Board has released the Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2026 under Advertisement No. P.R. 183/2026. STET 2026 is an eligibility examination for determining eligibility for teaching at Secondary and Higher Secondary levels in Bihar. Paper-I is for Secondary level and Paper-II is for Higher Secondary level. Candidates may apply for either paper or both papers according to their educational qualifications. The examination is conducted through Computer Based Test mode. Each paper contains 150 objective questions carrying 150 marks and has a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The examination consists of 100 marks from the specified subject content and 50 marks from Teaching Aptitude and Other Competencies. There is no negative marking. The online application window is from 17 August 2026 to 31 August 2026. STET is an eligibility examination and does not itself represent a fixed number of direct teacher recruitment vacancies.
