Initial Appointment

Selected candidates will initially be appointed on probation for a period of two years as prescribed for the post.

Transferable Post

Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere within the Union of India and may be posted to field locations or remote areas as required by the department.

Candidates belonging to specified remote areas including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District are eligible for the extended application period.

Written Examination Pattern

Objective Type

The written examination consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions based on the prescribed Class 10 level syllabus. The examination carries 100 marks and there is no negative marking.

Character and Antecedent Verification

Appointment of provisionally selected candidates is subject to verification of documents, medical fitness and character and antecedent verification.

Stage 1

Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be considered for the objective-type written examination.

Trade Test

Stage 2 — Qualifying

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination are required to qualify the trade test. The trade test is qualifying in nature.

Original documents and certificates of shortlisted candidates are verified before final appointment.

Medical Examination

Provisionally selected candidates are required to undergo the prescribed medical examination.

Final Merit and Appointment

Final Stage

Final merit is prepared trade-wise and establishment-wise subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions and qualifying the trade test. Appointment is also subject to document verification, medical fitness and character/antecedent verification.

Candidates should download and complete the prescribed application form and admit card format from the recruitment notification. The application should be filled neatly in English on A4-size paper.
