Indian Overseas Bank Security Guard Recruitment 2022

About This Recruitment

Indian Overseas Bank invited online applications for recruitment of Security Guards under Advertisement No. HRMD/SS/RECT/01/2022-23. The recruitment was for 20 Security Guard vacancies at the Bank's Central Office in Chennai. The post was intended for eligible Ex-Servicemen. Candidates were required to have passed 10th standard or equivalent but should not have passed Graduation. Candidates were also required to possess the ability to speak, read and write the local vernacular language and satisfy the prescribed service, character and medical conditions. The pay scale was Rs.14,500 to Rs.28,145. Selection consisted of an online objective test followed by a Physical Fitness Test. The online application window was from 01 June 2022 to 15 June 2022. The recruitment was subsequently conducted with the online examination held in Chennai on 19 January 2023, followed by the physical fitness and final selection stages.

• Candidate must have passed 10th standard or equivalent examination.
• Candidate should not have passed Graduation or an equivalent examination.
• The candidate should be able to speak, read and write the local vernacular language.
• For the 2022 recruitment, the relevant local language was Tamil for the Chennai/Tamil Nadu vacancy.
• At the time of valid discharge from the Armed Forces, the character of the candidate should be EXEMPLARY.
• The candidate must satisfy the prescribed medical standards at the time of valid discharge from the Armed Forces.
• Ex-servicemen who do not possess the prescribed civil educational qualification may be eligible if they are matriculate Ex-servicemen and have obtained the Army Special Certificate of Education or corresponding certificate in the Navy or Air Force after completing not less than 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union.
• The prescribed certificate must be dated on or before the cut-off date.
• Candidates must satisfy the prescribed age limit and applicable relaxation.
• Candidates must satisfy all other conditions prescribed in the official advertisement.
