The Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education (Minority Cell), Government of India has issued Vacancy Circular No. 7-4/2026-MC dated 19 May 2026 for filling up one post of Deputy Secretary and one post of Under Secretary in the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI), New Delhi, a statutory body under the Ministry of Education, on deputation basis. The circular invites applications from willing and eligible Central Government officers who can be spared immediately on selection. The Deputy Secretary post is classified as General Central Service, Group A, Gazetted, Ministerial and carries Pay Level-12. The Under Secretary post is classified as General Central Service, Group A, Gazetted, Ministerial and carries Pay Level-11. The Ministry has issued a one-time relaxation of the qualifying service/experience requirement by two years for both posts and has also permitted consideration of officers holding analogous posts in any cadre or department, subject to experience of working with quasi-judicial bodies. Applications in three copies, in the prescribed Annexure-II format, are required to be forwarded through proper channel in hard copy along with APARs, vigilance/disciplinary clearance, penalty statement, integrity certificate, cadre clearance and other required documents. A soft copy in PDF format may also be emailed within the prescribed time. Applications are to be received within 60 days from the date of issue of the advertisement in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar. The earlier vacancy circular dated 30 March 2026 on the same subject has been withdrawn.
