NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited applications from experienced professionals for Renewable Energy positions under Advertisement No. 04/26. The engagement is for a period of 3 years on a fixed-term basis and may be further extended by up to 2 years depending upon organizational requirements. The positions are for NGEL Corporate, stations, sites, clusters, joint ventures and subsidiaries across India. The recruitment covers Engineer (RE-Civil), Engineer (RE-Electrical), Engineer (RE-Mechanical), Executive (RE-Human Resource), Executive (RE-Finance), Engineer (RE-Safety), Executive (RE-CSR) and Executive (RE-Rajbhasha). A total of 147 vacancies are advertised. The upper age limit for all advertised posts is 35 years. Approximate CTC for all posts is Rs.11 lakh per annum. Applications are accepted online from 18 August 2026 at 10:00 Hrs. until 7 September 2026 at 18:00 Hrs. Selection may involve shortlisting/screening, CBT, written test, group discussion and/or interview depending upon the requirement of NGEL.

| CBT Minimum Qualifying Marks | For CBT-based selection, the prescribed minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR candidates and 30% for reserved candidates in the CBT overall criteria, with the applicable component-wise criteria stated in the advertisement. |
| Selection Without CBT | If CBT is not conducted, candidates may be shortlisted based on age, qualification and experience and called for interview. The evaluation then provides 30 marks for experience and 70 marks for interview. |
| Experience Marks | Five marks are awarded for fulfilling the minimum required experience and one additional mark for each year of additional experience, up to a maximum of 10 marks. |
| PwBD Reservation | A total of 14 vacancies are reserved for PwBD candidates, including 7 vacancies among Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Safety posts and 7 vacancies among HR, Finance, CSR and Rajbhasha posts. These include PwBD backlog vacancies. |
| Experience Requirement - Engineering Posts | Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Safety engineering posts generally require 3 years of relevant post-qualification executive experience. Relevant Renewable Energy experience is preferred. |

Qualification: Post-specific engineering, management, finance, CSR or language qualification with prescribed post-qualification executive experience.
Upper age limit is 35 years. Where applicable, upper-age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD and relaxation for Ex-Servicemen as per Government guidelines.

NGEL may shortlist candidates based on qualification, percentage of marks, years of experience and other suitability criteria.
If conducted, the CBT may contain a Subject Knowledge Test and an Aptitude Test. The CBT is bilingual, contains 100 questions, has a duration of 2 hours and carries negative marking of one-fourth of the maximum marks for every wrong answer.
Candidates shortlisted through CBT or screening may be called for interview.
Selected candidates must pass the prescribed medical examination and be declared medically fit before joining.
Appointment offers are issued according to relative merit based on the cumulative selection score and subject to fulfilment of all eligibility and medical requirements.
