About This Recruitment

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited applications from experienced professionals for Renewable Energy positions under Advertisement No. 04/26. The engagement is for a period of 3 years on a fixed-term basis and may be further extended by up to 2 years depending upon organizational requirements. Minimum Marks For the applicable engineering, management and other qualification-based posts, the prescribed minimum is generally 65%. For SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum qualifying marks is 55% where specified in the advertisement.

Fee Exemption SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and female candidates are exempt from registration fee.
Medical Fitness Selected candidates must undergo medical examination at a specified Government hospital having at least District Hospital status and must be declared medically fit before joining.
CBT Selection Weightage Where CBT is conducted, the cumulative score consists of 70 marks from CBT, 10 marks from experience and 20 marks from interview.
CBT Minimum Qualifying Marks For CBT-based selection, the prescribed minimum qualifying marks are 40% for UR candidates and 30% for reserved candidates in the CBT overall criteria, with the applicable component-wise criteria stated in the advertisement.
Selection Without CBT If CBT is not conducted, candidates may be shortlisted based on age, qualification and experience and called for interview. The evaluation then provides 30 marks for experience and 70 marks for interview.
Experience Marks Five marks are awarded for fulfilling the minimum required experience and one additional mark for each year of additional experience, up to a maximum of 10 marks.
PwBD Reservation A total of 14 vacancies are reserved for PwBD candidates, including 7 vacancies among Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Safety posts and 7 vacancies among HR, Finance, CSR and Rajbhasha posts. These include PwBD backlog vacancies.
Experience Requirement - Engineering Posts Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Safety engineering posts generally require 3 years of relevant post-qualification executive experience. Relevant Renewable Energy experience is preferred.
Experience Requirement - HR Executive (RE-Human Resource) requires minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience in HR functions or Industrial Relations.
Experience Requirement - Finance Executive (RE-Finance) requires minimum 1 year post-qualification executive experience in Finance/Accounts, excluding articleship period.
Experience Requirement - CSR Executive (RE-CSR) requires minimum 3 years post-qualification executive experience in areas such as socio-economic surveys, stakeholder consultation, CSR activities, need assessment, social impact assessment or CSR project implementation.
Experience Requirement - Rajbhasha Executive (RE-Rajbhasha) requires minimum 3 years post-qualification experience involving Hindi terminology/application or English-Hindi translation in Government, PSU, autonomous/statutory organizations, universities or recognized research/education institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Post-specific engineering, management, finance, CSR or language qualification with prescribed post-qualification executive experience.

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification for the respective post from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Candidates must fulfil the prescribed post-qualification executive experience requirement for the post applied for.
  • For Engineering posts, the prescribed qualifying degree generally requires at least 65% marks; for SC/ST/PwBD candidates, the minimum qualifying marks is 55% where specified.
  • For Executive HR, a full-time postgraduate qualification in management with HR/Industrial Relations/Personnel Management specialization or the prescribed equivalent is required.
  • For Executive Finance, candidates must be qualified CA or CMA with the prescribed experience.
  • For Executive CSR, the prescribed postgraduate qualification or MBA/MSW/engineering qualification with the required marks is applicable.
  • For Executive Rajbhasha, the prescribed Master's degree and Hindi/English language qualification requirements must be fulfilled.
  • Candidates must satisfy the maximum age limit of 35 years.
  • Relevant category certificates must be valid and issued by the competent authority.
  • Candidates from Government organizations or PSUs must produce NOC at the interview stage as prescribed.

Selection Process

Step 1

NGEL may shortlist candidates based on qualification, percentage of marks, years of experience and other suitability criteria.

Step 2

If conducted, the CBT may contain a Subject Knowledge Test and an Aptitude Test. The CBT is bilingual, contains 100 questions, has a duration of 2 hours and carries negative marking of one-fourth of the maximum marks for every wrong answer.

Step 3

Candidates shortlisted through CBT or screening may be called for interview.

Step 4

Selected candidates must pass the prescribed medical examination and be declared medically fit before joining.

Step 5

Appointment offers are issued according to relative merit based on the cumulative selection score and subject to fulfilment of all eligibility and medical requirements.
