About This Recruitment

Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited, a Government of India Navratna Public Sector Undertaking, has invited applications for engagement of Act Apprentices Trainees for 2026-27 at its Trombay (Mumbai) and Thal (Raigad) units. The engagement covers Graduate Apprentice, Technician Apprentice and Trade Apprentice training areas with a total of 326 positions. Online registration starts on 04 September 2026 at 8:00 AM and closes on 20 September 2026 at 5:00 PM. The intake comprises 145 Graduate Apprentices, 105 Technician Apprentices and 76 Trade Apprentices. Training opportunities are available in Accounts Executive, Secretarial Assistant, Recruitment Executive (HR), Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical and prescribed Trade Apprentice areas. Selection is based on the prescribed merit and document verification process. This is apprenticeship training and does not create an automatic right to regular employment with RCF.

Minimum Age Candidate must have attained the minimum prescribed age of 18 years.
Graduate Apprentice Prescribed Graduate Apprentice qualifications generally require the applicable Bachelor's Degree with the minimum percentage specified in the advertisement. The prescribed relaxation applies to eligible reserved categories.
Graduate Apprentice Training Training duration for Graduate Apprentice areas is 12 months.

Technician Apprentice Relevant Engineering Diploma with the prescribed minimum percentage. Allied Engineering branches are not accepted where the advertisement specifically requires the named discipline.
Technician Apprentice Training Training duration for Technician Apprentice areas is 12 months.
One Discipline / Trade Candidates should apply for only one applicable discipline or trade. Multiple applications may lead to rejection according to the advertisement.
Medical Facility The apprenticeship advertisement provides for applicable OPD medical facilities at RCF Hospital for the trainee as prescribed.
SC / ST Relaxation Eligible SC/ST candidates receive the prescribed upper-age relaxation.
Trade Apprentice – B.Sc. Areas Prescribed B.Sc. qualification with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the specified major subject for the selected trade.
Trade Apprentice – Chemical Plant Attendant Operator, Instrument Mechanic and Laboratory Assistant training is for 12 months.
NATS Registration Eligible Graduate and Technician Apprentice candidates must complete the prescribed NATS registration requirements.
Transport No transportation facility or reimbursement is provided under the apprenticeship engagement.
OBC-NCL Relaxation Eligible OBC-NCL candidates receive the prescribed upper-age relaxation.
Trade Apprentice – 12th Areas Prescribed 12th / 10+2 qualification with Science or other qualification specified for the selected trade.
Trade Apprentice – Other Trades Boiler Attendant, Electrician and Horticulture Assistant training is 24 months, while Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology) training is 15 months.
NAPS Registration Eligible Trade Apprentice candidates must complete the prescribed NAPS registration requirements.
PwBD Relaxation Eligible PwBD candidates receive the prescribed upper-age relaxation.
Prior Apprenticeship Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship training or fall within the prior-apprenticeship restrictions of the advertisement are not eligible.
1984 Riot Victims Eligible children or family members of 1984 riot victims receive the prescribed age relaxation.
Prior Work Experience Candidates having one year or more of prior work experience are not eligible where the advertisement applies this restriction.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Qualification varies by apprenticeship category and training area: relevant Bachelor's Degree for Graduate Apprentices, relevant Engineering Diploma for Technician Apprentices, and prescribed B.Sc. or 12th/10+2 qualification for Trade Apprentices.

  • Candidates must satisfy the educational qualification prescribed for the selected apprenticeship area.
  • The qualification must be from a recognized University, Institute, Board or other competent authority as prescribed.
  • Graduate Apprentice candidates must meet the qualification requirements for the selected Graduate Apprentice area.
  • Technician Apprentice candidates must possess the prescribed Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Trade Apprentice candidates must possess the prescribed B.Sc. or 12th/10+2 qualification for the selected trade.
  • The upper age limit is 25 years as on 01 September 2026.
  • Minimum age is 18 years.
  • Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible where prohibited under the Apprentices Act and the advertisement.
  • Candidates with one year or more of prior job experience are not eligible where the advertisement prohibits such candidates.
  • Candidates pursuing higher studies are not eligible where the advertisement specifies this restriction.
  • Candidates must complete the applicable NATS or NAPS registration as prescribed for their apprenticeship category.
