Candidates must qualify the A-2 medical standard prescribed by the Railway Administration.

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed distant vision near vision colour vision binocular vision night vision and myopic vision requirements.

Candidates can apply to only one RRB under CEN 03/2026. Submission of applications to more than one RRB can lead to rejection of all applications.

Candidates should keep the registered mobile number and email address active throughout the recruitment process for receiving recruitment related communication.

Candidates who have undergone LASIK or other refractive error correction surgery are not eligible for the Section Controller post.

University Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Institution

The prescribed educational qualification must have been acquired on or before the last date of application. Candidates awaiting final results on the closing date are not eligible.

Minimum age 20 years and maximum age 33 years

Applicable age relaxation is available to eligible reserved and other categories according to Government of India and Railway rules.

Eligible candidates receive the applicable fee refund after appearing in the Computer Based Test. The refund is credited to the Aadhaar seeded bank account after applicable bank charges.

Eligible candidates requiring a scribe must provide the required scribe details through the application portal during the prescribed window.

The Computer Based Test consists of 100 questions with a duration of 120 minutes. There is negative marking of 1/3 mark for every wrong answer.

Eligible PwBD categories may apply subject to the prescribed suitability and medical conditions. No PwBD vacancy is separately reserved for this recruitment.

Candidates are shortlisted through the Computer Based Test for the next stage of the recruitment process.

Candidates shortlisted from the CBT are called for the Computer Based Aptitude Test and must qualify the prescribed aptitude test requirements.

Shortlisted candidates are required to produce original educational qualification certificates and other required documents for verification.

Candidates must pass the prescribed A-2 medical examination conducted by the Railway Administration.

Final merit among candidates who qualify the CBAT is prepared using 70 percent weightage for CBT marks and 30 percent weightage for CBAT marks.
