Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the specified opted local language of the State/UT for which they apply.

Candidates who have not studied the specified local language in Class 10 or 12 and are provisionally selected must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test before joining.

Candidates in the final year or final semester of graduation may apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31 December 2026 if provisionally selected.

Newly appointed Junior Associates will be on probation for a minimum period of 6 months. They are required to complete e-lessons prescribed by SBI for confirmation.

There is no provision for Inter Circle Transfer or Inter State Transfer for Junior Associates before completion of 5 years of service. After 5 years, requests may be considered only in exceptional circumstances as per SBI policy.

SBI will arrange online pre-examination training for eligible SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD candidates who opt for the facility in the online application.

4% horizontal reservation is provided to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities as per Section 34 of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.

Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02 April 1998 and not later than 01 April 2006.

OBC: 3 years; SC/ST: 5 years; PwBD General/EWS: 10 years; PwBD OBC: 13 years; PwBD SC/ST: 15 years. Other relaxations including Ex-Servicemen, eligible women and trained SBI apprentices are as prescribed in the notification.

Candidates can apply online through the SBI recruitment website. No other mode of application will be accepted.

Eligible trained SBI apprentices may receive age relaxation and 2.5% of maximum Main Examination marks, equivalent to 5 bonus marks out of 200, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.

Candidates can apply for vacancies of one State or Union Territory only. Merit lists are drawn State-wise and category-wise.

Online Objective Test of 100 marks and 1 hour duration consisting of English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. Each section has separate timing of 20 minutes. There is a penalty of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.

Online Main Examination of 190 questions for 200 marks and 2 hours 40 minutes. Sections are General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. There is a penalty of one-fourth mark for each wrong answer.

Provisionally selected candidates who have not studied the specified opted local language in Class 10 or 12 must qualify the Local Language Proficiency Test before joining the Bank.

Preliminary Examination marks are not added to the final selection score. Final merit is prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the Main Examination, subject to eligibility verification and qualifying the local language test wherever applicable.

A wait list of up to 50% of vacancies on State-category basis may be maintained for one year from declaration of final result, subject to the conditions prescribed by SBI.
