Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has invited online applications for the Assistant Professor Selection Examination 2026 under Advertisement No. 04/2026. The recruitment covers 1,936 Assistant Professor vacancies in non-government aided co-education and women degree colleges of Uttar Pradesh across 42 subjects. The application process is OTR based. Candidates must complete One Time Registration before submitting the application. The written examination is scheduled for 19 and 20 November 2026, followed by the interview/personality test and document verification as prescribed.

The written examination consists of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions carrying 360 marks. The paper contains 30 General Knowledge questions and 90 subject-specific questions. Duration is 2 hours.
Each correct answer carries 3 marks. One mark is deducted for an incorrect answer. The prescribed negative-marking provisions apply to the objective examination.
Candidates shortlisted after the written examination are called for the interview/personality test. The interview/personality test carries 40 marks.
The selection carries 400 marks in total: 360 marks for the written examination and 40 marks for the interview/personality test.
Shortlisted candidates are required to produce the prescribed educational, category and other supporting documents during the selection/document-verification process.
