The Union Public Service Commission has released Examination Notice No. 01/2027-GEOL for the Combined Geo-Scientist Examination 2027. The recruitment examination is conducted for posts in the Geological Survey of India under the Ministry of Mines and the Central Ground Water Board under the Ministry of Jal Shakti. A total of 127 tentative vacancies have been notified across Group A and Group B scientific and technical posts. The examination consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test/Interview. The Preliminary Examination is scheduled for 10 January 2027 and the Main Examination is scheduled for 19 and 20 June 2027. Selection and allocation are based on merit, eligibility, preferences and vacancies available for the respective posts.
