The Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, has invited applications for direct recruitment to 15 posts of Technician (Semi-Skilled), Group C, Non-Ministerial, Industrial under Advertisement No. CQA(HV)/2026/Tech(SS). The vacancies are distributed among DGQA establishments in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Yeddumailaram, Telangana and cover the trades of Fitter Auto, Electrician Mate and Labourer. Candidates having the prescribed ITI qualification or equivalent Defence Services Tradesman Course can apply. The final merit is prepared trade-wise and establishment-wise, subject to qualifying the trade test. Selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere within the Union of India, including field and remote locations.

Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will be considered for the objective-type written examination.
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination are required to qualify the trade test. The trade test is qualifying in nature.
Original documents and certificates of shortlisted candidates are verified before final appointment.
Provisionally selected candidates are required to undergo the prescribed medical examination.
Final merit is prepared trade-wise and establishment-wise subject to fulfillment of all eligibility conditions and qualifying the trade test. Appointment is also subject to document verification, medical fitness and character/antecedent verification.
