DSSSB TGT Computer Science Online Exam Section Wise Timer 2026

Is there a separate timer for each section? From what we found, no. You get one clock for the whole paper.
The notices we checked give only the total duration: 2 hours for 200 questions. They mention no section-wise time limit.
What is fixed
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Total time | 120 minutes |
| Questions | 200 (Part A 100, Part B 100) |
| Sectional timer | Not announced |
| Negative marking | 0.25 per wrong answer |
Your admit card and the exam instructions are the final word. Read both.
A time plan you can follow
With no sectional timer, you must watch the clock yourself. This is our suggestion.
| Section | Questions | Suggested time |
|---|---|---|
| Part B: Computer Science | 100 | 55 min |
| Reasoning | 20 | 12 min |
| Arithmetic | 20 | 14 min |
| English | 20 | 12 min |
| General Awareness | 20 | 6 min |
| Hindi | 20 | 6 min |
| Review and flagged questions | 15 min | |
| Total | 200 | 120 min |
Simple rules
- Start with Part B. It is half the marks.
- Spend at most 30 seconds on a stuck question. Mark it and move on.
- Do General Awareness and Hindi fast. They need recall, not time.
- Keep the last 15 minutes for review.
Our practice papers use the same single 120-minute timer. Read the full attempt strategy and the exam pattern.
A worked example
You start Part B at minute 0. By minute 55 you finish all 100 questions. Part A takes you to minute 105. You still have 15 minutes. You use them on marked questions. That is the whole plan.
Practise the clock
- Take a full 200-question paper with a 120-minute timer.
- Note your time at the end of each section.
- Compare it with the plan above.
- Move 3 to 5 minutes between sections until the plan fits you.
Some candidates need longer for Arithmetic. Others are slower on Part B. Adjust the plan to your own speed.
Time per question
| Section | Time | Per question |
|---|---|---|
| Part B | 55 min | About 33 seconds |
| Reasoning | 12 min | 36 seconds |
| Arithmetic | 14 min | 42 seconds |
| English | 12 min | 36 seconds |
| General Awareness | 6 min | 18 seconds |
| Hindi | 6 min | 18 seconds |
Computer Science questions with code or output tracing need more time. Pick up the extra seconds from General Awareness and Hindi.
